Hello friends,

Though we try to keep extra email to a minimum, we thought this opportunity/message from producer Sandy Hausman worth sharing with our international colleagues, as she is especially interested in making contact with producers outside the US. Please feel free to pass it along to other interested producers.

Rgds,
Third Coast Festival Staff
(worldvision.com)

I’m  writing to inform independent producers of a new freelance opportunity.
A U.S. radio program called The World Vision Report seeks sound-rich human interest features on topics related to poverty and justice worldwide.
Most stories run 4-6 minutes, but for subjects of special interest the show will consider a series of reports.  Pay is $100 per produced minute, World Vision does the mixing, and the program is happy to have stories that may already have aired elsewhere. You can hear the World Vision Report at www.worldvisionradio.com .
For more information, contact Sandy Hausman by phone or e-mail: 847-291-7434 in the Central U.S. time zone or hauschott@aol.com .

well, one can never predict how things work, because to my pleasant surprise mari Boine was in Croatia, and quite soon after we were talking about her in Berlin. It has happened about ten days ago within the World music festival a bunch of enthusiasts is organizing for couple of years in Zagreb. The festival is called “Nebo” (which means “The Sky”). Of course I went there and enjoyed an excellent concert. Which has reminded me for the favour I have asked you in Berlin. We have the meeting in Romania in the middle of January, so, if you can be so kind and burn some Mari Boine’s CD-s (well, as many as you can or is convenient) and give them to Vincent I will return as many empty CD-s and, of course, you’ll have as many bears from me as soon as we meet the next time.Otherwise, how are things? I am working my butt off and trying to survive this quantity of work to find some time for my writing. The IFC blog site is really working fine. cheerios ljubop
