Taktons 2004, from Nov.17th to 20th @ admin
THIS YEAR FROM NOVEMBER 17th TO 20th, THE JUBILARIAN 10th TAKTONS WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE RADIO NOVI SAD
The competition’s purpose is to bring together sound engineers and provide them with professional evaluation of their best achievements in audio recording and acoustics.
An accompanying exhibition of professional audio equipment and an international conference with the participation of public service broadcasters from Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia and a number of other countries from the region has been organized as part of the competition.

The Jury Report for category radio plays for children
After having listened to all plays the jury decided at a discussion held on 11th November 2004 to award the prizes as follows:
• Prix Ex Æquo
for the best radio play aimed at children
is awarded to the play
“THE BORROWERS†by Mary Norton, adapted by Helge Andersen from Norway
This production creates a vivid, accessible and immediately engaging world through sound. The adaptation, acting, soundscape and direction are all excellent.
• Prix Ex Æquo
for the exceptional artistic execution of a radio play aimed at children
is awarded to
Jerzy Niemczuk – author of Monster Time – from Poland
For creating an original, age appropriate and thought provoking story with characters full of warmth and humour.

After having listened to all plays the jury decided at a discussion held on 11th November 2004 to award the prizes as follows:
• Prix Ex Æquo
for the best radio play aimed at adolescents
is awarded to the play
“HOW I RAN AWAY†„Kako sam bje_ala“, by the author and director Vedrana Vrhovnik, produced by Hrvatski Radio, Croatia
for original realisation, authentic acting, text that is intelligent and shows finesse, which portray the process of searching and expressing freedom, which is typical to young people. These properties also capture the ever-present issue of all phases of a person’s life – the problem of one‘s own identity. The prize is also for knowing and understanding the young audience and for the soundscape, which precisely presents the various time and space layers of the plot.
• Prix Ex Æquo
for the exceptional artistic execution of a radio play aimed at adolescents
is awarded to
Róbert Hor_ák
for directing the radio play „Wolf‘s Eye“, by the author Daniel Pennac, adapted by EmÃlia Drugová, produced by Slovak Radio
for directing, which in a flowing and dynamic manner exceptionally brought together the original music and sound effects, and by inducing impressive acting he achieved a convincingly established topic of exploring and confronting two different worlds by means of mutual experiences, feelings and universal values.
