Last month Laurence sent us an internal message.
I quote three sentences:
“Dear all, I have some news to share with you: after 23 years, I shall be leaving the BBC at the end of January.
I have a new job at a podcast production company as their head of content.“

“I’m sorry to say that this means I will have to step down from the ‘Features Group’ at the end of January.”

“I’ll still be able to attend the IFC, of course, so I don’t intend to be a stranger!”

Laurence is part of the so-called IFC Features Group, the ‘engine block’ of IFC AudioDocs and has been part of it since 2015.
His replacement is Georgia Catt, colleague of Laurence and also BBC.
