URTI 2011 – International Radio Grand Prix – award-winning programmes

(by Sara Lacomba)
Dear colleagues,        The prize-giving ceremony for the 23rd URTI International Radio Grand Prix took place on Thursday, October 20th 2011 in Paris, in the framework of the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the FM, in the presence of many personalities and the producers of the award-winning programmes. We should like to take the opportunity to congratulate again warmly the four award-winners as well as the finalists of the Grand Prix.

With 81 participating countries, URTI strengthened its leader position among the international radio and television grand prix. This confirms the renown and quality of a competition which is also unique in the world because it is based on a different theme each year. We insist on thanking very sincerely all the producers of the radios having participated in the competition in 2011.

After « Poverty» in 2011, I have the pleasure of announcing to you that the URTI members chose the following subject for the 24th URTI International Radio Grand Prix: “Love”. The registration forms will be sent to you in the course of March 2012 but I strongly advise you to prepare your choice now.

You will find here enclosed the presentation brochure of the award-winning and finalist programmes of the Grand Prix 2011 included into the URTI catalogue.
We remind you that these ones – as well as all the programmes in competition – are available for a broadcast free of rights on our members’ channels.

Sincerely yours, Sara Lacomba
