( link = http://marabou.be/ABD2010, which was Art’s first birthday present. And, since then, ART’S BIRTHDAY parties are being organised across the world each year on the 17th of January.
On 17 January 2010, the M HKA (the Museum of Contemporary Art in Antwerp) will yet again celebrate ART’S BIRTHDAY in Antwerp.
At the museum Ward Weis will perform Filliou’s HISTOIRE CHUCHOTEE DE L’ART throughout that day in a landscape comprising myriads of microphones and loudspeakers.
We want youto collaborate and be part of this sound-installation, bycontributing your very own interpretation of this text.
Guidelines and constraints:

– Each paragraph should be filed separately, to function as a distinct part within the sound-installation
– You can translate the text, encode it, or transpose it …
– One may render HISTOIRE CHUCHOTEE DE L’ART in ways other then by way of speech
– Speaking or whispering the text should, however, not exceed half op the chosen text –opting for less then that is quite all right!
– The remainder of your text should be read in silence / contemplated inwardly
– There is no set format for your piece(-s) as far as duration goes
– Audio files in either WAV, FLAC, or MP3 (minimum 128 kbit stereo)
– The deadline: 10 January 2010
– All contributions will be published under CREATIVE COMMON LICENSE

Award for Sara Lundin (Sweden) EBU Master School
Dear Friends,
Since a few hours a new star is to be paved on the walk of fame of creative radio. Sara Lundin from Swedisch Radio, and one of our gifted talents of the latest EBU Master School for Radio.
My rainy end of a sunday was enlighted ( and I’m sure our capitaine Nathalie Labourdette’s from EBU also) by this mail from Lisbeth Jessen ( Denmark and Sara’s coach) :
“EBU Master School on Radio features …
http://www.facebook.com/pages/EBU-Master-School-on-Radio-features/98303149966?ref=mf … Congratulation to Sara Lundin from Sweden.
That clever girl has been given a prize for her voice, narration, tone, style from Swedish authors! Each year these authors award one voice that bears something unique in it. They found it in Sara’s many radio features. We also know it in the EBU MS from the feature Sara Lundin made as “student” of the 2008-2009 EBU Master School.
So this is fantastic for her. She is completely overwhelmed. As I wrote – it is not a prize you can be nominated or candidate for – it is just given!
Last year the prize went to a very know old Swedish radio man – very known by everybody….
So that they pick up Sara’s young voice and tone this year is SO promising.”
All the best from
Lisbeth”
How wise was this authors jury! They rewarded a voice. The Masterschool is all about a personal voice and offering the possibilities to develop its strenght, its beauty and its honesty. It’s own song.
Dear Sara, we are so proud!
Warm regards also to your family as they were so closely involved in this production.
Edwin Brys
