Third Coast Festival – Mid-Summer Update
So here’s a handy, comprehensive reminder of all the ways you can get involved, and some deadlines to keep in mind:Enter your documentary audio work into the 2006 TCF / Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Competition.
The final deadline for this is (postmarked) this Friday, July 21.
Nominate your radio hero for the 2006 TCF Audio Luminary Award.
The final deadline for nominations and letters of support is also thid Friday, July 21.
Submit a story for the 99 Ways to Tell a Radio Story project.
You have until September 8th to submit your “Way” for consideration for the 2006 TCF ShortDocs, but we’d love to hear from you sooner!
Join 300 of your closest radio friends for a few days of audio fun (and edification) at the 2006 Third Coast Festival Conference.
The early bird registration deadline is September 1.
The late bird registration deadline is October 6.

[UPD] Prix Europa 2006
Radio drama and features, websites, tv movies, documentaries or multicultural programmes are called for again.
For the 20th edition of Prix Europa the Finnish broadcaster YLE has donated a special award for the best TV series, mini-series or serial; and Prix Europa-SPOT is this year looking for one-minute films from young film-makers under the heading “Happy Birthday Europe”, celebrating 50 years of European unification.
All in all, there are four Radio – , one Internet – Â and six Television awards, as well as the new script award Prix GenÃ¨ve-Europe and Prix Europa-SPOT (Deadline SPOT is 1 September).
Each prize amounts to 6.000 Euro.
Under the trademark Â “Made in Europe” Prix Europa Â annually invites the best media productions as well as their makers and managers to Berlin for a week of festival and competition.
Prix Europa 2006 enjoys the patronage of Josep Borrell Fontelles, President of the European Parliament, and Terry Davis, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, as well as the European Broadcasting Union.
